My goal as your therapist is to create an open and accepting environment to help you be your authentic, true self. I want to partner with you to find interventions that fit your needs and help you reach your goals. I am very passionate and committed to working with you through challenges to help improve your social and emotional well-being.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Work-Supervisor (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University. I also have a Certificate in Leadership in Human Services Management from The Ohio State University. Prior to focusing on my education, I spent eight years in the United States Army Reserves as a Truck Driver and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I have experience working with children and teenagers with their families in various clinical settings including individual and family therapy. As a medical social worker, I worked with families during different stages of their medical journeys. My previous experiences at National Youth Advocate Program and Nationwide Children’s Hospital have prepared me to work with a wide variety of mental health concerns. Some of the approaches to therapy used include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Strength-based interventions, and Structural Family Therapy.
