I am a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I have been working with clients since 2020 while licensed and also counseled throughout my graduate training. My counseling style is conversational, compassionate and direct. I work to provide a space that is conducive to clients sharing their vulnerability without fear of judgment. I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy, and aim to always hold feelings of positivity and unconditional support for my clients. Together we can work towards building confidence, increasing positive coping skills, and building resiliency. I also believe that therapy can be fun and enjoyable at times as well, and I encourage clients to bring their authentic selves and personalities to session.
I received my education includes receiving a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from John Carroll University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University. Throughout my career I have worked with various populations including: college students with disabilities, gender-diverse youth, folks struggling with mood disorder such as Depression and Anxiety, folks struggling with eating disorders, and folks looking for support in exploring their sexuality/identity. I have worked providing individual and family therapy in the setting of outpatient clinics, college counseling centers, and in the field of accessibility in higher education.
I utilize many modalities and techniques in counseling, but rely heavily on my training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI.) I also enjoy utilizing skills from other modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT.)
