I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervisory endorsement (LISW-S) in the State of Ohio. In addition, I hold a School Social Work Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education with a concentration in treating special needs youth with social-emotional and behavioral challenges. My education includes a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio University. I have over 18 years of professional work experience as a mental health provider for youth, adolescents, and adults in schools, organizations, and clinical settings.
I seek to guide clients towards well-being by listening and creating an open and safe place to share thoughts and feelings that are met with compassion. I specialize in the treatment of trauma in children and adults using brain-based practices, neuroscience, and attachment theory, with additional skills in stress/anxiety, depression, severe mental health conditions, grief & loss, and parenting issues. I integrate mind/body techniques and mindfulness skills in my practice. As a Registered Yoga Teacher—200HR and Pilates Instructor, my goal is to expand awareness of the mind/body connection to support restoration and resiliency through connectedness and belonging to self and others.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I have extensive experience working with numerous populations in schools, organizations, and clinical settings (individual, group, and family therapy for youth in partial-hospitalization settings and schools; individual and group therapy for all ages in clinical settings; consultation with workplaces on best practices related to employee mental health, as well as program development, education, coaching, consultation, and skill-building within organizations.) In addition, I have a wide range of experience with different presenting problems, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and severe mental health conditions. With my wide range of experience working with youth and adults in multiple settings, I have the skill set and tools to support you and your family.
