I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation (LPCC-S) in Ohio. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Capital University in psychology in 2004 and a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministries from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2009. I am passionate about meeting others where they are and working to develop a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe the therapeutic process is a collaborative journey in which a client allows me to walk alongside of them, using my skills to aid in their progress and process.
Since 2009, I have been working in the Columbus area providing counseling services. I have experience in private practice, partial hospitalization, school-based treatment, and outpatient counseling. My career path has included work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, behavioral concerns, anxiety and more. I have worked with children as young as age three up through adults in a variety of settings. My experience includes working with foster youth and foster families as youth transitioned in and out of the foster homes and I have assisted with adoption home studies. My professional experiences have allowed me to hold supervisory and management roles in addition to direct care with individuals and families. I worked in community mental health for over six years.
Some of the approaches I use in counseling and therapy include CBT, Client-Centered, DBT Informed, and Solution Focused.
