Common Questions About Insurance Benefits

insurance questions counseling

We know that understanding your insurance benefits for counseling and therapy may be confusing and frustrating. We are here to help.

If you are interested in becoming a patient with us and you aren’t sure what your co-pay will be or what your insurance will cover, the next best step is to call the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card. Once you register, we will also call your insurance to check your benefits and share with you what we are told. We do our best to be upfront about your payment expectations so that there are no unpleasant surprise bills.

We never want payment to be a barrier to treatment so please reach out to our billing department if you need to utilize a payment plan in order to access our services. Our friendly billing team will be happy to work with you on whatever payment arrangements work for you.

How much will I have to pay at the time of my appointment?

The amount you have to pay depends on your insurance plan. Unless you have made payment plan arrangements with our billing manager, the entire balance of your visit is due at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards (e.g., HSA, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express), but we do not accept cash.
